Item features- an elaborately carved eagle crest, broken arch pediment, Chippendale lattice work frieze above two wood paneled doors, and a slant drop front desk. Front drops open to a writing surface held up by two pull supports. When open it reveals an elaborate fitted interior with central door. Four lower graduated drawers with brass handles, all on bracket feet backed by hand chiseled bracket supports. Some of the dentil moulding to the pediment are missing. The bottom-left scroll form ornament to the left front-facing cabinet door is split in two pieces and detached from the door. The slant front opens to reveal one missing screw to the hinges and a missing screw to one interior compartment. Losses to the backside of the pediment and backboard slats.
