A VICTORIAN BRITANNIA SILVER JUG, GEORGE FOX, LONDON, 1876, H 11 1/2":George Fox, London, 1879. Of squat baluster form, the cover with berry thumbpiece and engraved coronet crest surmounting a "V", a chased handle ending in a fleur-de-lis, the body and foot chased with scrolling rocaille bands and engraved with the Andros family crest. Fully marked to base and flange of cover with maker’s mark, lion head erased, and date mark. Dia. 6 1/2". Weight approximately 49.38 troy ounces.
With isolated instances of shallow dings and nicks, surface scratches throughout. Overall good condition, clear marks, and chasing crisp
