ADELSTEEN NORMANN (NORWEGIAN 1848-1918), OIL ON CANVAS, H 20", W 24", MOUNTAIN LAKE:Signed lower right. Circa 1900. Later gilt frame.
As viewed under UV light in the unopened frame: c. 1% overpainting in the LR and the far LR corner - it appears that the signature "Normann" does fluoresce; lined; has stable craquelure; splotch of gilt paint (from restoring the liner of the frame) is along the top right edge; frame has damage and restoration.
