Beautifully detailed Aelteste Volkstedter porcelain, allegorical figural group, depicting the Mythical God Hermes being attended by two servants, with Putti at his feet and a Leopard behind him. One servant is pouring him wine and the other is placing a crown of laurel leaves on his head. The base is signed "R" with the number 1762 underneath. At the base, there is an old tag that states: From the E.H. Gulbenkian collection. This is a beautiful piece, Meissen quality.
