Dated and signed in the plate with the artist’s monogram lower center. A Meder c (of e) impression of the second and final state, showing traces of rust stains from areas of the plate which were handled, with narrow margins. The plate was owned by Joseph Heller in 1831 (inkstamp verso), who bought it from the painter and etcher J. G Schedler, who originally bought it from the painter Josef Schopf; today the original plate is in the Bamberger Library (as noted in Meder page. 74).
