AMES AND AGM CIVIL WAR PERIOD SWORDS BRASS HILTS METAL SCABBARDS TWO:Roby Chelmsford, Mass and Chicopee Mass. One stamped: " U.S. 1865 A G M" on ricasso. Brown leather hilt with gilt wire wrap. Second sword stamped: "Made By Ames Mfg. Co. Chicopee and "18 G W R 1865" with black leather hilt with gilt wire wrap. Both have scabbards with hanger rings.
exhibits some wear to leather hilts, scratches and abrasions and rust on scabbards.
