Dr. and Mrs. Miller were Patron members of the Metropolitan Opera and knew Arbit Blatas through their friendship with Blatas' wife, the legendary mezzo soprano and stage director, Regina Resnik. Dr. and Mrs. Miller acquired several paintings by Blatas over the course of their decades long friendship.
