Signed lower left E. Zampighi. The painting is a copy of F. Scalini, after a painting by Gaetano Chierici. Depicting an interior scene of a young mother gazing lovingly upon her children. Frame measures H 31.5" x L 41".
When viewed under UV light, a small area of inpainting fluoresces to the lower right quadrant. Exhibits a slight degree of crackling throughout. Retains original varnish.
