Fall front desk under 2 shelves flanking a single cabinet door. Fall front and door having intricate marquetry designs featuring musical instruments, flowers, leaves, and sheaves of wheat. On tapered, fluted legs with x-form support. The drop-down lid reveals a leather writing surface with rosewood border, cubbies and two small drawers. The panel behind the writing surface slides back revealing a "hidden" compartment. Provenance: Property of a Grosse Pointe Park, MI private collector.

Condition

Slight sun fading. Wear and loss to what appears to be the original leather foot rest.
