OLD MASTER ATTRIBUTED TO NICOLAES BERCHEM (DUTCH, 1620 -83), OIL ON CANVAS, H 26", L 33", PASTORAL LANDSCAPE:26" x 33 3/4". Signature lower right. Landscape in the Italian Tyrol. Mountains with snow in background, a Martello square tower to right.
As viewed under UV light in the unopened frame: Turns green under UV light so a complete UV analysis is not possible, however a few dabs of restoration show up in the sky and some in the lower center; scratches in the sky in the UL; overall stable craquelure; lined; later gilt frame is only slightly chipped and cracked.
