BARBIE AND MIDGE, DOLLS, CIRCA 1960'S, 2 PIECES, H 11":Each doll has a doll case and some assorted clothing. The Barbie has short red hair and a solid body, H 11". Midge has red hair and freckles and a solid body, H 11". Estate of Frederick C. and Malora Matthaei.
The dolls are marked on the buttocks as follows:
The Barbie doll is signed "2" on the left buttock. On the right buttock it is signed as follows: "Barbie, Pats Pen, ©MCMLVIII, By Mattel Inc." The Roman numerals translate to 1958.
The Midge doll is signed "10" on the left buttock. On the right buttock it is signed as follows:
"Midge, ©1962, Barbie, ©1958, Mattel Inc., Patented"
Condition
The dolls are in good used condition. The cases show some wear and the clothing is in used condition.
