BEV DOOLITTLE (B. 1947), LITHOGRAPHS & MODELED PROPS, 2 PCS., H 21", L 19", "GUARDIAN SPIRITS":Bev Doolittle (American, born 1947). "Guardian Spirits". A pair of lithographs depicting a Blackfoot Native American riding an Appaloosa in full dress, with eighteen spirit animals hidden within the lithograph. Each signed in plate lower right.
Accompanied by the original Sioux war lance and dance shield modeled in the Bev Doolittle "Guardian Spirits" lithographs. The war lance a hand-forged iron head with buckskin, brass tacks, trade cloth and feathers, crafted in 1987 by Sharon Hinkle. The dance shield comprised of rawhide on willow, painted feathers, plastic sanded claws, fur, trade wool, beads, and buckskin thong, crafted in 1987. Both pieces accompanied by an appraisal by Sharon Hinkle's representatives, along with the original receipt, for GWS Galleries in Carmel, California. IN THE CONSIGNMENT AREA.
