BURTON, CONTEMPORARY LEATHER SATCHEL, C.1987, H 17", W 22", D 11":A brown leather sports bag, with two zippered pockets opening to a vinyl lined interior. With green embroidery at one side. Tag reads: Burton MFG Co. Jasper, Alabama'. Measures H.17" to the handles. Owned by Hugh Duffy Daugherty, former Michigan State University head football coach, from 1954 to 1972.
There are areas of wear about the lower front center, just under the embroidery, as well as at the low center on the opposite side. Also a double white mark that appears just above the embroidery as well.
