Marked at the base "Baker 244 High Holborn, London". Having a swivel reflector, and telescoping adjustment knobs at the center and top. Having a fitted mahogany case containing four additional lenses and one slide with two drawers. On the inside of the case door is a plaque that reads "Presented by The Honorable The Commissioners of Inland Revenue To Robert Wallace as a first prize for proficiency in theoretical and practical chemistry Session 1874-5". Case size: H 20", W 9.75", D 8". Provenance: Private Collection, Boston-Edison District, Detroit, MI (40-year resident of the Boston-Edison Ford House)
