CHICKERING & SONS FLAME MAHOGANY GRAND PIANO, C. 1950-1955,:A Chickering & Sons grand piano. Boston, Mass., circa 1950-1955. With a burl walnut veneer. Marks: Chickering EST 1823 BOSTON U.S.A., Pat Oct. 9, 1917, Dec. 20, 1921, #191109. Accompanied by a Louis XV-style bench. Height of piano 37", length of piano 57", width 53 1/4".
Ivory keys are in good condition, some yellowing, a few small cracks. Veneer has areas of cracking, concentrated towards the keys. There are scratches, scuffs, marks, and rubbing throughout consistent with age and use.
