CHINESE BRONZE RITUAL FOOD VESSEL (GUI), W 6":Rounded body raised on a hollow pedestal foot accented with snake forms, above a symmetrical mask of taotie to either side. Two other masks of bats surmount each handle. The patina is a deep brown. Measures approximately H.3 3/4", W.6". From the collection of Mrs. G. G. Scranton, international traveler from the late 1900's to the mid twentieth century. Friend and patron of Mrs. Dagny Carter, a notable scholar, influenced this collection.
