A 19th century Chinese bronze three-legged censer outfitted with a carved rosewood cover and fitted base. The rosewood pieces appear original to bronze. The lot is accompanied by a letter dated June 2nd, 1924 from 15 York House of Great Quebec Street in London estimating the bronze to date from 1620 to 1627.

Condition

Bronze and wood base are in good condition. One leg has an old re-soldering effort. The rosewood cover has a broken top handle. Please note all lots show signs of wear commensurate with age and use, and the lack of a statement regarding condition does not imply the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from defects or the effects of aging.
