The covered tureen offers red iron and fired gold decoration. The basin has a repeated armorial style painted image of a basket with fruit, floral garland, and brimmed hat. The piece made for Western consumption. Circa late 18th century to 1800. Provenance: Property from a private collection, Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan.

Condition

When viewed under natural light, the perimeter of the cover handle has chips and associated losses. Otherwise, no conservation efforts or structural demerits were observed.
