Hand painted on silk with brocade border. Depicts he dragon boat rice festival held on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month (May) held in honor of Chien Yuan, a scholar and philosopher. He was thrown in the river and drowned. Sticky rice is wrapped in long pointed leaves and thrown into the river.
