CHINESE SILK EMBROIDERY, LATE 19TH C., H 12", W 20":Decorated with single bird on a flower branch. Finely embroidered with the forbidden stitch at the eyes of the flowers {see 2nd photograph}. Late 19th Century. Measuring H. 12 1/2" x 20 1/4". As is condition. Shows tears along the left side, with several areas of loose threading and loss, and some areas of staining to the center panel and upper left side.
