Unsigned. Two octagonal oil on panels. These panels appear to have been a single painting that has been reduced into two paintings. Nicely detailed Dutch landscape with a pasture and cityscape in the background. Both framed under glass, H 15", W 15". Provenance: Paper label on the verso: "Ex collectione Senatoris Dris. Gwinner Francofurti ad Moen". Senator Dr. Phillip Friedrich Gwinner (1796-1868) was a lawyer, politician and art historian in the Free State of Frankfurt am Main. In 1858 he inventoried the paintings in the city's possession and in 1862 authored the book 'Art and artists in Frankfurt am Main from the 13th century to the opening of the Städel Art Institute'.
