These lithographs are titled, "Modern Athenians", and are from a book of the same title. One lithograph depicts two gentlemen by the names of 'Sir James Gibson-Craig' and 'Sir Thomas Dick-Lauder', at the lower right it states Edinburgh, "1839", at the lower left, No. 15. This lithograph is framed, (there is a crease at the center, a couple of spots of foxing and some slight browning to the paper).
The second lithograph depicts two gentlemen by the names of 'Alexander Kidston' and 'John Jardine', at the lower right it states Edinburgh, "1841", at the lower left No. 20, ( the litho is matted, it is not framed, It has a crease down the center, and it is in good condition). The third lithograph depicts two gentlemen by the names of 'James Ayton' and ' Alexander Robertson'. At the lower right it states Edinburgh, "1847", at the lower left No. 22, ( the litho is matted, it is not framed, it has a crease down the center, and is in good condition).
