Continental Gilded Wood Wall Mirror, 18th C, H 22'' W 15'' An 18th century gilded wood wall hanging mirror. Offers a tassel, arrow, and floral motif with a beaded edge. Bearing a partial paper label to the verso. Continental, probably Italian.
From the collection of Dr A. Michael Prus and Judith Prus, Grosse Pointe Farms.
Old worm holes abundant to the verso. Old fractures to the gesso. Dense weight and feel. Conservation efforts to structural integrity of mirror observed on the verso.
