CORNELIUS ZWAAN (DUTCH 1882-64), OIL ON CANVAS, H 24", W 29", DUTCH INTERIOR:24" x 29 1/4"; framed. Cornelius Christian Zwaan was born in Holland. From a prominent Northville, Michigan Estate.
As viewed under UV light in the unopened frame: a couple of small spots or so of overpainting in the LL (c. 1% overpainting total); has craquelure and stretcher bar cracking of the paint with some instability developing; a couple of light scrapes in the LR; not lined or patched; period gilt frame with patina wear.
