ROWLANDSON & MADEMOISELLE DIOIS DUSEJOUR, HARD BOUND LEATHER VOLUMES, 1813, 1877 & 1927, 3 PCS.,:Three volumes including: "Poetical Sketches Of Scarborough" and inscribed: "Illustrated by Twenty- One engravings of Humorous Subjects. Made Upon The Spot By J. Green, and Etched by T. Rowlandson. The Second Edition" and "Printed For R. Ackermann, 101 Strand, by J. Diggens, Saint Ann's Lane, 1813" Full fine grained red morocco. Gilt ruled line to the border of the boards. Beautiful floral gilt decoration to the panels of the spine with date (1813). Five raised bands. 10 1/4" H. x 6 1/2" W. The second volume is "The Origin Of The Graces" by Mademoiselle Dionis Dusejour, limited edition #291 of 1000 copies and inscribed: "Illustrated With The Original Copperplate Engravings After The Designs Of C. N. Cochin". Published by Vizetelly & Co, 16 Henrietta Street. Covent Garden, London, 1877. Having 3/4 hand tooled leather and marbled boards with gilt trim at borders. Raised bands with gilt decorations, title, author and "London" on the panels. Marbled end papers. Gilt top page edges, deckled edges to side and bottom. Third volume "The Oxford Book Of English Verse 1250 - 1900" Chosen and edited by Arthur Quiller Couch and published by Humphrey Milford publisher to the University and printed by Oxford University Press, 1927. Having 3/4 calf boards in green and marble, with marbled end papers. Raised bands with gilt panels and gilt top page edges. 7 1/2" H x 5 1/4" W.

Condition

Foxing to the flyleaves of the Scarborough volume along with tiny specs of residue on spine bands. Dusejour volume exhibits discoloration to tops of boards and spine. Oxford volume has minute wear to corners of boards.
