Depicting American Horse, the Oglala Sioux chieftain, statesman, educator, and historian. With inscribed signature, dated "1993", and numbered 3/7 to base which measures 35 1/2" x 23 1/2". American Horse was known as a progressive leader who encouraged Western education for his people and friendly associations with the white settlers. He was also one of the first Wild Westerners in Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. IN THE CONSIGNMENT AREA.
