DAVIS & GALT STERLING COMPOTE, C. 1895, H 3 3/4", DIA 8 1/2":A sterling silver compote having a scalloped rim with gadrooned edge, chased scrolling floral motif; stamped underneath with a shield enclosing a fleur-de-lis and number 607 L (see additional photo). Retailed by Theodore B. Starr, New York. Weighs approximately 12.92 troy oz.
