Striated kifwebe mask with hooded eyes and carved ridge running down the face forming the nose, along with the distinctive square shaped mouth. The nostrils contain dark hairs. Kifwebe masks were often used by Songye and neighboring Luba peoples as personifications of mystical power for purposes of local control.
