Polychrome carved wood handle with two faces. Wood shaft having metal hardware and coiled metal elements. Bottom element having clustered nut shells and brass bell. On a black custom made metal plinth. Underside have deaccession label from the Detroit Institute of Arts. Provenance: Estate of Jack Faxon, Michigan Senator and creator of the Michigan Council for the Arts.
