Each with pinstripe upholstery accented with nail head trim. The maple marquetry offers repetitious Arts & Crafts era designs along the backrest. The arm chairs were furniture Saarinen designed for his Cranbrook home. Provenance: Purchased from Arkitektura, authorized by Cranbrook Academy of Art Museums and ES Ltd.; Property from a private collector Birmingham, Michigan.
The upholstery on the armrests exhibit wear from age and use.
