ENGLISH IRONSTONE SOUP TUREEN, BOWL & PLATES, C. 1850, NINE PIECES, W 9"-14":Including 1 covered tureen, H.9 1/2" x 13", with 1 under tray, L.14" x 11", 1 bowl, H.4 1/4" x 9 1/4", and 6 plates, Dia.10"; each piece has a sage green border with transfer floral reserves with painted accents, and impressed with a shield enclosing "Opaque Granite China" flanked by a lion and unicorn, possibly for Swillington Bridge of Yorkshire, England (see additional photo).
All pieces have crazing; the bowl and all plates (except for one) are stained; one plate with rim chip; the bowl has a small nick to the rim of its foot.
