ENGLISH STERLING TROPHY CUP, C.1780, JOHN ROBINS, LONDON, H 7", DIA 3 7/8":A sterling silver goblet decorated with a gold wash at the well and a ribbon and swag motif, engraved "Durham Regatta 1848" and measures H.7", Dia.3 7/8"; marked with lion passant, crowned leopard, date letter indicating 1780, and maker's mark for John Robins of London, England (see additional photo).
The stem is partially weighted. There are also minor dings overall and the rim is slightly misshapen.
