Two European spontoons, the first of which has an overall length of 87", a width of 5.25" and mounting straps of 3.75". The blade appears to have once had decorative elements, but the pitting and wear has made this no longer visible. Haft is a replacement. The second spontoon has an overall length of 90", a width of 4" and mounting bands of 6.75". The engraving on the blade appears to read 'IBES E SCHMID NO 7'. The haft does not appear to be original.
