Depth of 7". Belgian black marble base with a bronze allegorical figure of a woman holding a painter's pallet with books next to her. Japy Fils movement with an enamel clock face in Roman numerals. Movement marked 'Medailles D'Argent Japy Fils 1844-1849" and "HLF 2587". Provenance: Private Collection, Boston-Edison District, Detroit, MI (40-year resident of the Boston-Edison Ford House)
