On campaign style base consisting of two stacked sets of four drawers secured for moving with outer hinged door stile. Desk top opens to reveal a slide out desk surface with a fall front. Desk interior comprised of Birdseye maple surface, sides and drawer fronts. Drawers fitted with acanthus leaf mounts surrounding original key hole and locks. The whole surmounted by three matching drawers. Facing side having finely finished bronze ormolu of wreaths containing a torch with star, and acanthus leaf accents.| Please note this lot is quite heavy. Condition

Most doors missing original bronze pulls. front facing missing bronze stars and bronze wreath that surrounded bronze mask (two cracks on center panel as seen in photos). Likely refinished in the late 19th c., Original locks. Has working key. | Please note all lots show signs of wear commensurate with age and use, and the lack of a statement regarding condition does not imply the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from defects or the effects of aging.
