Verso having a hand written underglaze description "Château de St Cloud", Sevres oval 1868 date stamp and orange Chateau De F. Bleau (Fontainebleau) stamp. Modeler mark incised verso "68-14". This view shows the original Chateau De St. Cloud before it was burned during Napoleon III's war against Prussia in 1870 when the French army counterattacked the Prussian who held St. Cloud so as to shell the city of Paris.
