Marked on the underside 'F J Schroder' (retailer), '800' and a hallmark indicating Gebruder Glaser. Hinged lid having hammered relief figures of fairies playing. The outer body of the box is decorated with 18th-century men and women dancing and at leisure. Provenance: Property from a Bloomfield Hills, MI private collector.
