On original black marble base, measuring H 16" x W 9.5" x D 7.5" overall. Signed, Numbered, and Dated on left leg. The stylized form depicts an abstracted figure of a bear rendered in bronze with the textural contrast of a gold patinated eagle on the torso and an anthropomorphic vision of the bear's spirit on his back. Like all of their works, "Winter Shaman" embodies the distinct aesthetic of the artists' collaboration. Specifically, Gene Tobey's Pueblo heritage melding with Rebecca Tobey's influence from abstract expressionism. Provenance: Property of Cleveland, OH private collector.
