A handwritten letter, dated December 9th 1832, written by "The Hero of Two Worlds" Marie-Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert du Motier de La Fayette, more commonly known as simply Lafayette. Lafayette saw military command in both the American Revolution and the French Revolution. The letter appears to read as follows:
