Signed in the lower left. Market scene depicting a fruit vendor offering up some delicious produce to two women and a child. Nicely detailed figures and still life elements. Having a period giltwood and gesso frame, H 28.25", W 24.25", D. 3 1/8". Provenance: From the Estate of Prominent Collector, Leon Zielinski, Macomb County, MI. Stalker and Boos, Birmingham, MI, 7-26-1980 lot #213.

Condition

Original canvas, restretched. Series of small canvas repairs (looks to be three) with spots of overpainting in the center of the composition, at the fruit on the stall. Another small canvas repair at the archway in the upper center. This conservation work has been obscured with varnish. | Please note all lots show signs of wear commensurate with age and use, and the lack of a statement regarding condition does not imply the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from defects or the effects of aging.
