Henry Ford Museum Joseph Doll Grandfather Clock By Colonial Of Zeeland, C. 1970s/80s, H 86'' W 17.5'' Depth 10.5'' | Replica of a grandfather clock after a clock by Joseph Doll in the collection of the Henry Ford Museum, Dearborn, MI. Made by Colonial of Zeeland, MI. Mahogany clock case with marquetry inlay designs featuring an American eagle crest with "E. Pluribus Unum". Case bearing a serial number of HF000531, Henry Ford Musem mark on the back with a number of 925. Painted dial signed "Joseph Doll" and having a moon phase dial. Works marked Jauch Western Germany 8 77. Westminster chimes. Includes three weights, a pendulum, finial and locking key.
Spot of rubbing at the upper left for the lower door. Small dent at the front right corner near the base. Clock is currently functioning and appears to be keeping accurate time. Please note all lots show signs of wear commensurate with age and use, and the lack of a statement regarding condition does not imply the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from defects or the effects of aging.
