HOPKINS & ALFRED MAHOGANY PILLAR AND SCROLL CLOCK, H 29", W 16":A mahogany pillar and scroll clock, holding a square painted wood dial having Roman hour numerals with gilt spandrels, two key wind, above a reverse-painted scene on the window below. Marked at the interior back 'Hopkins & Alfred, Harwinton, Conn.' Two weights. Measures overall H.29 1/2" x 16 3/4" x 4 1/2" approximately.
There is wear to the reverse-painted window, also craquelure to the dial face. There is a tip missing at the top center brass finial. The brass finial on the right has come off and the small square piece of wood, that it is attached to has a crack. There crackling to the veneer. Working order is not known nor guaranteed.
