JACOB PETIT, FRENCH PAINTED PORCELAIN CORNUCOPIAS, MID 19TH CENTURY, PAIR, H 10 1/4" W 8":Painted blue bases and acanthus leaf to cornucopia, painted with floral sprays, with gilt details throughout. Marked to undersides in blue underglaze, and initials "JP" at undersides.

Condition

One urn has a broken leaf that has been painted over at the rim, and one large acanthus leaf in front of the vase, has been restored. This same urn has 2 chips at the underside of the base approximately 1" and 1/2", and there is also a 1/4" chip to one small acanthus leaf at the center of the vase body. The other urn, has a half-inch chip to rim, a 1/4" chip to one acanthus leaf at the center of the vase body and a 1/2" chip at the underside of the base. Minor gilt paint loss throughout.
