Signed "James Crawford 1969" on paper verso. Framed in a Robert Moore Kulicke (American 1924-2007) custom frame. Label on verso from Kilicke Frames, New York City under the "James Crawford Studio, Detroit" stamp in red ink. James Crawford was a pioneer of Detroit's Cass Corridor Art Movement in the 1960's and 70's. Crawford was visual arts coordinator for the Michigan Council for the Arts from 1970 to 1992. He currently works out of his studio in Indiana. The custom Kulicke frame, when compared to the date of the work, could likely be one of the last produced by Robert Kulicke as he left the firm in 1970. Provenance: The Artist.
