The tankard offers ornate repousse designs of flower forms and scrolling motifs, with 'Nulli - Praeda - Sumus' (Latin translation: 'We are nobody's prey') engraved in vignette. With lion, crowned leopard, and date mark 'g' (1820) in cartouche with adjacent 'IK' (Jeremiah King) mark in cartouche. Total weight: 20.86 troy ounces. Provenance: Collection of James A.
