Depicting a New England ship repair at low tide. Signed lower right. Artist attribution on canvas verso. Unframed. Provenance: Property of Prominent Collector, Birmingham, Michigan

Condition

Original canvas. 1"x 2" flake at the right side of the composition. Two flakes at the buildings in the center of the image. The canvas is detached from the stretcher at the right and lower edges, because of this the canvas is buckling. Rubbing with pigment loss at the extreme edges, likely due to a previous framing. No evidence of overpainting when viewed under UV light. As-is condition. | Please note all lots show signs of wear commensurate with age and use, and the lack of a statement regarding condition does not imply the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from defects or the effects of aging. Unless otherwise stated, all information provided is the opinion of DuMouchelles' specialists.
