JOHN MARIN (AMERICAN, 1870-1953), ETCHING AND DRYPOINT, 1913, PLATE SIZE: H 12 3/4", W 10 1/4", "WOOLWORTH BUILDING #2:Pencil signed (within the plate mark); signed, titles and dated in the plate; inscribed "Printed by John Marin, Sent out by 291" in pencil, lower left (outside the plate mark). Published by Alfred Stieglitz, Gallery 291, New York; framed.  Includes the catalogue, "John Marin the 291 Years".  Paper size: 15 7/8" x 13 1/4".

Condition

As viewed outside of the frame under room light:  paper has been mounted onto a heavy piece of paper (no mat); there is light browning to the edges of the paper; appears to have some framing notations on the verso of the thin piece of cardboard that the print is mounted to (see photo detail).  Rf, 2-2-2017
