Joseph Angell English silversmith in London. 29.8 tr oz. Maker’s mark, silver standard mark, city mark, date letter "b" and duty mark on the underside of the body. Hallmarked also on the inside of the cover. Pedestal base, ebony handle, repousse motif of cherubs and flowers. The collar around the neck is in flower and scroll openwork . Handle is secured with a "wolf's head". Squash form finial. Provenance: Property from a Baltimore, MD private collector.
