Depicting a death scene from Hamlet. The bedroom is in disarray, the rug pulled over itself, the books and case open on the table and nestled in the excess material from the table lies the head of the principal character who has been found dead. A bloody area in the chest suggest a sword wound and a gentleman all in black surveys the scene. The painting is in a gilt wood frame H 14.5" W 16.5". Provenance: Property from a Private Collection, Franklin, MI
