By descent to her niece, Ann Arbor, MI. Gertrude Knowles (1899-1976) was a Chicago Icon: Mrs. Knowles was the Secretary-Treasurer and a Director of the Chicago Stadium Corp. as well as an official of the Chicago Blackhawks Hockey Team. She was the widow of Hector Knowles, Manager of Chuck Davey, Spider Webb, and other legendary boxers of the 1950's. Included in the purchase is the Original Bill of Sale, Cash Reciept, brochure, and biographical folder from Findlay Galleries. Paperwork held in the gallery office.
